Hi Reader
Welcome back to 1UP,
my weekly newsletter where I share all things health and mindsets to help you get stronger, feel younger and live longer.
Sabotaging patterns
We all have bad habits.
What started as a way to cope may have become a pattern.
And we often times find ourselves in our 40s with some of these patterns that are actively sabotaging our health and weight goals.
We eat our emotions.
We "need" a drink to handle an unexpected event.
We stay up scrolling on our phone instead of truly winding down.
If you become aware of such a pattern, or "bad" habit, you have taken the hardest step to make a change.
And if you know it's time to make a change, the good news is that we can leverage the science of habit, not exactly to "break" the habit, but rather replace the undesired behavior with something healthier or find how to meet the real need in a way that is aligned the person you really want to be.
If that sounds like you, then this week's episode of the 40's fitness reset podcast is for you.
That's the framework I guide clients through when coaching on this topic.
I hope this helps.
I also wanted to let you know real quick that your favorite longevity sidekick had the great opportunity to be featured in The Good Trade last week.
Here is a link if you to check it out if you're curious:
