Tis the season to be consistent

While most people are still working through the candy bounty of Halloween, and the aisles of stores get clothed in Christmas decor, Thanksgiving is right around the corner for our friends in the US.

I celebrated Thanksgiving a few weeks ago - since Canada loves to do the same but different - and the celebration of the harvest is in October here.

We have probably lost 3 hours of sunlight in the past month and I have definitely had to bring the warm coats out of the closet.

Here in Alberta, we know it's just a matter of days before we see the first snow.

With all of that coming up, I have decided to dedicate a few weeks to Holiday season and winter proofing on the podcast.

Because I know what happens between October and January for most people...

Forget the health goals. Out goes exercise. Au revoir moderation. I deserve all the drinks. I restricted so hard with this diet, I deserve all the treats. I just want to have fun. I will just detox in January.

But here's the thing: it's easier than you think to have a good time, enjoy the food, the company and let loose, without completely writing off your health.

Imagine starting January without feeling totally gross.

Imagine having a head start on your weight at the beginning of the new year, instead of having yet another 2 pounds weighing you down.

Imagine staying consistent while having a good time during the holidays, and reap the benefits of being active all winter.

Imagine not feeling like you have to do new year resolutions to undo the damage of the holidays.

Imagine hitting 2026 slimmer, stronger, and confident in yourself because you stuck to your commitments, and found self-control without arm-wrestling with yourself for months.

I know you can get all of that, because that's what my holiday season looks like, year after year.
